Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 11, 2025

GoodPin is operated by Tiger Ventures LLC (“GoodPin”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). We build GoodPin so you can discover places through people you trust and plan better trips together. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information We Collect

  • Account & Profile. Name, username/handle, email, photo, bio, and preferences you provide.
  • Content. Pins, lists, photos, notes, reactions, and other content you create or share.
  • Friends & Connections. People you follow or befriend, and groups or shared lists you join.
  • Location. With your permission, we may collect approximate or precise location to show nearby places or improve recommendations. You can disable location in device settings; some features may not work without it.
  • Usage Data. App activity, device info, crash logs, and diagnostic data to improve performance and reliability.
  • Transactions. If you subscribe to GoodPin Premium (via Apple In‑App Purchase), we receive purchase status and identifiers from Apple but not full payment details.

How We Use Information

  • Provide and personalize the app, including friend‑trusted discovery and AI‑assisted trip planning.
  • Show you relevant places, recommendations, and content from people you follow.
  • Maintain safety, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms.
  • Analyze usage to improve features, performance, and reliability.
  • Communicate with you about updates, support, and new features (you can opt out of non‑essential emails).

AI Features & Data Handling

GoodPin uses AI to help with discovery and trip planning. Inputs you provide to AI features (e.g., queries and context) may be processed by third‑party AI providers to generate results. We seek providers that do not use your data to train public models or configure them to disable training where available. We retain prompt/result logs only as needed to operate and improve the feature. Do not submit sensitive personal information to AI features.

Location

With consent, we may use approximate or precise location while the app is in use to show nearby places and improve recommendations. You can disable location in device settings; some features may be limited. We do not collect location in the background unless you expressly enable it (if supported in the future).

Sharing & Disclosure

  • With your direction. Content you share with friends, groups, or publicly will be visible to those audiences.
  • Service providers. We work with trusted vendors (e.g., hosting, analytics, maps/places APIs, AI) to operate and improve GoodPin. They access data only as needed to perform services for us and under appropriate agreements.
  • Legal & safety. We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and security of users and our services.
  • Business transfers. If we explore or complete a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred subject to this Policy.

Notice at Collection (US)

We collect the following categories of personal information: identifiers (e.g., name, email, device identifiers), user content (pins, lists, photos, notes), location data (with consent), internet/network activity (usage, crash logs), and purchase status/identifiers (via Apple). We collect these for: providing and personalizing the Service; safety and abuse prevention; analytics and improvement; and support communications. We retain information as long as needed to provide the Service, for safety, legal, and business purposes, and as otherwise described in this Policy.

Your Choices & Data Subject Requests

  • Location permissions. Control location access in your device settings.
  • Profile & content. Edit or delete your profile and content within the app.
  • Notifications & emails. Manage in‑app notifications and marketing email preferences.
  • Requests. To access, correct, or delete your data, contact support@goodpin.app. We may verify your identity and respond within the time required by law (e.g., 45 days for California). You may use an authorized agent where permitted.

US State Privacy Rights (e.g., California)

California and certain other US state residents have rights to know, access, delete, and correct personal information, and to limit or opt out of certain processing defined by law. We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense. If our use of analytics/ads were to constitute a “sale” or “sharing” under state law, you may opt out by contacting support@goodpin.app. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

EEA/UK Users – Legal Bases & Rights

We process personal data under these legal bases: (i) performance of a contract (provide the Service); (ii) consent (e.g., location, certain marketing); and (iii) legitimate interests (safety, analytics, improving the Service) where not overridden by your rights. You have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object, and data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

International Transfers

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect personal data during transfer.

Service Providers / Sub‑Processors

A current list of key processors is available upon request at support@goodpin.app.

Security & Incident Response

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the risk (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls). No method is 100% secure. In the event of a data incident, we will notify affected users and regulators as required by law.

Data Retention

We retain information as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account; some records may be kept for compliance and safety.

Children

GoodPin is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). Do not use GoodPin if you are not old enough to consent to data processing in your jurisdiction. If we learn we have collected personal data from a child, we will delete it. Contact support@goodpin.app.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of GoodPin means you accept the updated Policy.
